What the registration covers

The certificate describes the mark as the year "1895" above a golf ball design element with wings. The drawing of record is the emblem on its own, without the "The Misquamicut Club" wordmark. No claim is made to the exclusive right to use "1895" apart from the mark as shown. First use in commerce is recorded as 2014 in both classes.

Marking the Emblem

This applies to anyone producing Club merchandise, signage, apparel, or printed material carrying the emblem.

The emblem must carry a registration notice

Wherever the emblem appears, it must be followed by one of the following:

® the registered trademark symbol
Registered United States Patent and Trademark Office
Reg. U.S. Pat. & Tmk. Off.

The registration attaches to the emblem, so the notice belongs with the emblem rather than with the wordmark. In the full logo lockup, place it adjacent to the winged golf ball.
